Before Covid, they were getting 45,000-50,000 passengers every day. There are 50 boats running daily. During morning rush hour from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. the boats run every 1-3 minutes and are very crowded. During the evening rush hour from 3:00pm to 8:00 p.m. the boats leave every 5-7 minutes.

Mr. Chaolit Methyapraphas went on to say that they are upgrading Saen Canal ferry to modernize passenger services. They are changing the boat roof material to aluminum and a partially transparent roof, creating more ventilation than the original. This will give passengers a better view and still offer protection from the sun.
